I would say mine lasted from 1979 to 2004. It is a very painful process.  That puppy clearly demonstrated how hard it is.  I'm proud of you, Barb, and all of us who are  trying to live an authentic life.  Thanks for a GREAT example.  I feel bad for the puppies left behind...but they did get to see how it was done.
